Oasis Manchester Shows Travel Guide, Set Times, Tickets & more

Oasis Heaton Park Guide

It’s finally happening – Oasis are coming home to Manchester. Liam and Noel Gallagher’s long-awaited reunion tour “Oasis Live ’25” is set to rock Heaton Park with five massive shows in July 2025. After years of speculation (and a feud that made fans fear this day might never come), the brothers kicked off the tour in Cardiff on July 4 to rave reviews – critics called the opening night “biblical, celestial, [and] majestical”.

Now Manchester is bracing for an epic homecoming: over 340,000 fans are expected to flood into Heaton Park across the five dates. The first show on Friday 11 July 2025 will be an especially historic night as Oasis play their hometown together for the first time in years.

Heaton Park Entrance Timing

For each Heaton Park show, gates open at 3:00 PM (15:00 BST). Oasis’s exact stage time hasn’t been officially announced, but based on the tour kickoff the band is expected on stage around 8:15 PM. There’s a strict curfew at 10:30 PM, so the concert will finish by then. (Local authorities have set that end time, but rock ‘n’ roll will certainly reign for a solid two hours plus!) Food stalls and merchandise stands inside the park will be open throughout the event – and vendors will stay open until around 10:30–11:00 PM for a last snack or souvenir as you head out.

Support acts

  2. Richard Ashcroft7pm

Fans will also get to see two Britpop legends warming up the crowd. Richard Ashcroft (of The Verve fame) and Cast are the special guests for all UK & Ireland dates on the Oasis Live ’25 tour. That means every Manchester show will feature sets by Richard Ashcroft and Cast before Oasis takes the stage, so arrive early if you don’t want to miss these iconic support acts.

Homecoming vibe

The Gallagher brothers are known to put on an electric show whenever they play Manchester, and these gigs promise to be extra special. Expect a two-hour plus set packed with classic Oasis anthems. In Cardiff, Oasis opened with “Hello” and closed with “Champagne Supernova,” with basically every hit in between – so Manchester fans can dream of belting out everything from “Don’t Look Back in Anger” to “Wonderwall” under the summer sky.

OASIS – Live’25 – Cardiff – First 5 Songs (multiple cams)

The first Manchester night on 11 July will likely be a goosebump moment: a hometown crowd welcoming Oasis back after a 16-year wait. Even Liam Gallagher himself has called the reunion “biblical” – and judging by the Cardiff shows, that’s no exaggeration.

Heaton Park Venue Map & Entry Points

The official site map for Oasis Live ’25 at Heaton Park outlines the stage layout, entrances, and facilities. The concert arena is divided into Front Standing (closest to the stage) and General Admission areas, each with designated entry gates. Fans must use the gate printed on their ticket – so double-check whether you are Front Standing or GA before you head out.

Heaton Park Map

Heaton Park is a huge outdoor venue, and for these shows it’s been split into two sections for crowd safety: a Front Standing section right in front of the stage, and a larger General Admission section behind it. Your ticket will specify which section you’re in and which gate you should use to enter.

Front Standing tickets have been allocated via a ballot/opt-in system, so only those with confirmed Front Standing tickets can access that front area. General Admission tickets do not include front access. In other words: you can’t just rush the front – only fans who opted in and got Front Standing will be allowed in the forward section. This system was set up by the event’s Safety Advisory Group to ensure a smooth and safe entry for everyone.

Entrance Info for Heaton Park Oasis Shows

🎫 General Admission (GA)

  • Enter via Bury Old Road (Corner Gate to West Gate)
  • Same side as the Heaton Park tram stop
  • ❌ No entry from Sheepfoot Lane (east side)

🎫 Front Standing

  • Use Sheepfoot Lane entrance (South/East Gates area)
  • Closest entry to stage-front pens
  • ❌ Avoid west side—too far to walk around

🚌 Shuttle Buses & Coaches

  • Drop-off at North Gate
  • Staff will guide you to the correct section once inside

Once inside, you’ll find the stage at the north end of the event space, facing out over the crowd. The venue map (see above) also shows locations of food and drink stalls, merchandise booths, toilets, first aid, and other facilities. Notably, Front Standing fans get their own dedicated food, drink, and toilet areas within the front pen for convenience (separate from the GA amenities).

There is also an accessible viewing platform for disabled attendees, roughly behind the front standing area, to ensure good sightlines. Wherever you are, you can expect big screens and a massive sound system, so even if you’re in GA further back, you won’t miss any of the action.

Tip: Plan which entrance you need ahead of time. Manchester’s Heaton Park is very large, and the two sides (Bury Old Road west side vs. Sheepfoot Lane east side) are quite far apart. Going to the wrong gate will cost you a long walk around the park’s perimeter.

🚋 Metrolink Tram

  • Fastest option from Manchester to Heaton Park (15 mins via Bury line)
  • Front Standing? Use Bowker Vale for direct access to east gate
  • After the gig, trams leave from Bowker Vale only—last tram to Manchester: ~2:02 AM
  • Tap in/out with Bee Network travel cards; expect queues!

🚌 Shuttle Bus (City Centre → Park)

  • Runs from Lever Street (1:30 PM–7:00 PM) to Heaton Park North Gate
  • Return buses start 10:15 PM onward
  • Round-trip: £10 via Bee Network app. Book ahead—no tickets sold at gate.

🚌 Big Green Coach

  • Picks up from cities across North West, North East, Midlands & North Wales
  • Drops off/picks up at North Gate coach park
  • Departs ~30–60 mins after show ends. Check your ticket for exact info.

🚗 By Car

  • No official parking at Heaton Park
  • Surrounding roads will be closed—Park & Ride (Whitefield/Radcliffe) recommended
  • Drop-offs must follow police/steward guidance; expect to walk a bit

🚕 Rideshare & Taxis

  • High demand post-show; expect surge pricing
  • No official taxi zone—likely drop near Middleton Rd/Bury Old Rd
  • Pre-book if possible or walk out to a quieter area to meet your driver

Follow the instructions from your ticketing email – ticket agents sent out gate assignments by June 20th for these shows. If you’re still unsure, check the Gigs and Tours info page or the map above to locate the correct gate. Stewards on site will also help direct people, but it’s best to arrive at the right side from the start.

Travel Advice: Getting to and from Heaton Park

With tens of thousands of people attending each night, getting to Heaton Park will require some planning. Luckily, Manchester has set up extra transport options to help everyone arrive and depart smoothly. Public transport is highly recommended – there are no official car parks at the venue, and local roads will have closures and heavy congestion on concert days. Below is a breakdown of travel options:

Good to know: Manchester’s transport authorities have been planning for these gigs for months. They’ll have extra trams running, more staff on duty, and signage to guide fans. The head of events for Transport for Greater Manchester, Steve Gilholme, advised concertgoers:

“Those lucky enough to get tickets won’t want to miss a minute – and the best way to get to Heaton Park and back will be to take advantage of the great public transport options on offer, particularly the six-minute tram service from Victoria Station.” He also noted that “the city will be hosting a number of other big events during Oasis’ run… Public transport and roads will be busier than usual during this exciting time, so allow plenty of time for your journey”.

  • Every ticket comes with a unique barcode, which will be scanned at the gate.
  • Ticket transfers will be enabled 48 hours before the show, allowing fans to share tickets with others attending separately.
  • Once you’ve entered, there’s no re-entry—so keep your ticket with you at all times.
